James P. Stevens, Jr

James P. Stevens, Jr. is the Owner and Senior Partner of Stevens Law Firm. He was born in Loris, South Carolina, admitted to the bar, 1973, South Carolina, U.S. District Court, District of South Carolina, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.

He graduated from University of South Carolina in 1969 and University of South Carolina Law School in May 1973. He has been practicing law ever since. With almost 40 years of experience, he has been voted a Super Lawyer and Top 100 National Trial Lawyers. He is listed in International Who’s Who of Professionals.

He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, National Board of Trial Advocacy; American Bar Association; South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association (member, past Board of Governors); American Judicature Society. In 1980, a jury awarded his client the first million dollar verdict in South Carolina. He has handled countless cases all the way up to the South Carolina Supreme Court. He is a certified mediator. He is AV rated and listed in Martindale Hubbell’s Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers.
